Concept & Systems Engineer - Aircraft Development

Key Responsibilities
Develop and refine eVTOL aircraft configurations through conceptual and preliminary design phases.
Perform mission analysis, aircraft sizing, weight estimation, CG analysis, and performance evaluations (hover, transition, cruise, range).
Define and manage system-level architecture including propulsion, flight controls, avionics, and power systems.
Develop and flow down aircraft requirements to subsystem teams and maintain requirements traceability.
Conduct configuration trade studies and technical risk assessments.
Support multidisciplinary integration across aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, and controls.
Prepare technical documentation and support design reviews (SRR, PDR).
Assist with early certification planning aligned with FAA requirements.
Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure design readiness for full-scale production.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in aircraft conceptual or preliminary design (rotorcraft preferred).
Strong understanding of aircraft performance, aerodynamics, and stability & control.
Experience with sizing tools and analytical modeling (MATLAB/Simulink preferred).
Knowledge of systems engineering processes and certification fundamentals (Part 23 frameworks preferred).
