We are seeking a Design Engineer responsible for developing detailed engineering designs and production-ready drawings. The role involves translating conceptual inputs into accurate CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings while collaborating closely with design leads, manufacturing, and quality teams. 

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop 3D CAD models, layouts, and detailed 2D drawings based on design inputs and customer requirements 

  • Prepare manufacturing-ready drawings including GD&T, tolerances, BOMs, and notes 

  • Support conceptual and detailed design phases under guidance of the Design Lead 

  • Perform design updates and revisions based on internal reviews, DFM feedback, and customer comments 

  • Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, specifications, and internal design guidelines 

  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to address manufacturability and assembly considerations 

  • Assist in design validation activities such as stack-up analysis and basic strength checks 

  • Maintain proper version control and documentation of design files 

  • Support quality and inspection teams by clarifying drawing intent and resolving discrepancies 

  • Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback in a timely manner 

 Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field 

  • 4-5+ years of experience in mechanical design and drafting 

  • Proficiency in SolidWork 

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, sheet metal, fabrication) 

  • Working knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards 

  • Ability to interpret customer specifications and translate them into detailed designs 

  • Good communication and coordination skills
