Senior Design Engineer

Location: Ormond Beach, Florida

Job Description

Support the development of all-electric aircraft, focusing on design, documentation, and numerical analysis. Produce airframe structural layouts, detail designs, and preliminary sizing for composite materials. Create and maintain CAD models and drawings, ensuring structural integrity, weight, and cost targets. Coordinate manufacturing planning with the team and design mechanical fixtures for implant testing per ASTM F2077-14. Use 3D printing (ABS and metal) for prototyping. Apply DFM/DFA principles, create install drawings, and use GD&T per ASME standards. Conduct First Article Inspections and ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience required.
