The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will perform design reviews and manufacturability of parts, subassemblies & assemblies of fixtures. This role focuses on applying DFM/DFA principles, improving cost and lead time, and collaborating with global engineering teams to ensure fixtures are practical, scalable, and production ready.
Key Responsibilities
Perform concept and design reviews with a focus on manufacturability and assembly
Apply DFM/DFA principles to fixture and tooling designs
Define manufacturing processes, machining strategies, and assembly sequences
Identify cost, quality, and schedule risks early and recommend improvements/ alternative technics.
Support BOM validation, cost estimation, and vendor feasibility
Collaborate with design, automation, and supplier teams across time zones
Review drawings, GD&T, and 3D CAD models for manufacturing readiness
Support engineering changes and resolve manufacturing-related issues
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering
8-10+ years of experience in fixture manufacturing, automation tooling, or industrial equipment
Strong understanding of weld and assembly fixtures
Hands-on knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly processes
Experience with DFM/DFA, GD&T, and tools
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting US or global engineering teams
Familiarity with SolidWorks
Exposure to aerospace, automotive, or industrial automation projects
