Job Summary

The System & Network Administrator is responsible for managing and securing the organization’s IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Windows Servers, networks, and cybersecurity systems. The role supports cybersecurity compliance by safeguarding Controlled Information (CUI), implementing security controls, and ensuring continuous monitoring, audit readiness, and user awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Servers, network infrastructure (LAN/Wi-Fi), and security systems including Fortigate firewalls and VPNs, ensuring high availability, performance, and secure remote access.
Implement, monitor, and continuously improve cybersecurity controls, including access control, authentication, encryption, endpoint protection, and patch management.
Safeguard organizational data and CUI through secure configuration, backup and recovery processes, and enforcement of data protection policies.
Monitor system logs, security alerts, and network activity to detect and respond to vulnerabilities, malware, ransomware, and unauthorized access incidents.
Conduct internal IT and cybersecurity audits, perform gap analysis, maintain SSP and compliance documentation, and implement corrective actions (POA&M) to ensure audit readiness.
Provide IT support, manage user accounts, permissions, and MFA, while maintaining IT asset inventory, system documentation, and coordinating with vendors.
Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness training and enforce best practices for secure system usage across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
6+ years of experience in system administration, networking, and cybersecurity.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server.
Experience with Fortigate firewalls and secure VPN configuration.
Experience in audits, gap analysis, and corrective action implementation.
Strong understanding of data security, malware protection, and network security.
Good troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
